The Black Angels began their fall North American tour this past weekend. The tour began on October 13 in Houston, Texas, and will send the band through the Midwest and South before heading north to Montreal and Toronto before a three-night run at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, as well as a stop at Philly’s brand-new Union Transfer venue. The tour concludes in Nashville, Tennessee on November 5.
The Black Angels will be joined on tour by Dead Meadow and Spindrift. In addition to the North American run, The Black Angels will also be traveling to South America to perform at the Maquinaria Festival on November 12 in Santiago, Chile, and on November 14 at the SWU Music and Arts Festival 2011 held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The Black Angels’ exclusive 10″ release from 2011’s Record Store Day is now digitally available, featuring six B-sides from 2010’s Phosphene Dream.
Of course, if you are familiar with the Black Angels you are aware of their annual Austin Psych Fest. The location and lineup are soon-to-be-announced in November as well, but the dates have been released- this years event will be be taking place on April 27-29.
