Annie Clarke, more well-known as St. Vincent, has just released a live performance video for her single “She’s Beyond Good and Evil”, a cover of The Pop Group’s classic of the 1979 record Y. Her recently released third studio album has quickly become a critical darling and a hipster’s dream.
Her record, Strange Mercy, combines her avant-garde personality with an almost uniquely pop sound, similar to fellow artists Kate Bush and Bjork. Her industrial beats and quivering keyboard combine sweetly with her poignant and wonderfully cathartic lyrical arrangements.
