Cincinnati, OH-born post-hardcore group Foxy Shazam is the first group signed to the newly re-launched I.R.S. Records–a joint effort between EMI and Crush Management—where they will release their as-yet-untitled fourth album in January 2012. In support of their newfound record contract, the band will hit the road on Sunday for month-long tour with Panic! At the Disco.
Kicking off in Reno, NV’s Knitting Factory on Sunday, the tour will make its way throughout the west coast before moving to the east beginning in late October. Panic! At the Disco will provide tour support at all stops.
I.R.S. initially launched in1979 with a roster of legendary groups including The Dead Kennedys, John Cale and The Buzzcocks. Re-launched now with the help of EMI and Crush, I.R.S. hopes to recapture its glory days of artistic freedom.
