Florence and the Machine’s new album, Ceremonials, is due out October 31 in the UK via Island Records and November 1 in the U.S. via Universal Republic. The video very much plays to the band’s ethereal freak aesthetic and features a rather obscure party where people are all wearing gilded masks.
“Shake it Out” The first single off her forthcoming LP Ceremonials is even more massively anthemic than the deeply powerful singles off Lungs. Huge drum hits drive the track from the onset, and Welch’s voice is in peak form throughout, not only spilling over the edge of each song, but rather roaring out with a tidal wave of power. She clearly has a lot of weapons at her disposal, but “Shake It Out” reveals itself as her most dominant song off the record while singing passionately, “It’s always darkest before the dawn.”
