Sacremento alt-metal originators Deftones are releasing a special-edition vinyl box set for eager fans to rip their claws into later this month. The Vinyl Collection 1995-2011, as it is called, will be released on October 25 via Reprise Records.
The limited-edition vinyl box set spans the seven-album, eight LP, twenty-five year career of the band, which formed in a California garage in 1988. The band gained attention from Maverick Records shortly thereafter, and was soon joining bands like Korn on-stage during the alt-metal blowout of the 1990’s.
The albums, including 1995’s Adrenaline, 1997’s Around the Fur, 2000’s White Pony, 2003’s Deftones, 2006’s Saturday Night Wrist, and 2010’s Diamond Eyes, as well as the 2011 limited-edition Record Store Day release Covers, have each been exclusively re-cut from the original master recordings and pressed on 180-gram European virgin vinyl and includes a unique lithograph and cover art. Best to follow this one close though folks– only 1,000 hand-numbered copies are being made, and they are expected to sell out fast!
