Swedish House Mafia to Perform at Madison Square Garden/Milton Keynes National Bowl and Release Live Album

Swedish House Mafia have announced that they will be playing to “One Night Stand” shows in New York City’s famed Madison Square Garden on December 16 and then again in the UK’s answer to the Garden, Milton Keynes National Bowl on July 14.

These two milestone shows will let fans see Swedish House Mafia consisting of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, make history by becoming the first dance act to have headlined both venues. The band is also set to release a live album titled One Night Stand recorded during their two epic shows. The album is speculated to feature their heavily sought after, and previously unavailable, Coldplay vs. Swedish House Mafia “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall”. In addition to that the album will also feature “Antidote,” their brand new collaboration with Knife Party which consists of Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen from Pendulum.

The three Swedes have already enjoyed a tremendous amount of success in the past few years. Their most recent UK tour sold out in mere minutes and they sold over a million singles in just 2010. They recently saw Until One, their new album, reach Gold Status in the UK as well as have back-to-cack #1 Billboard hits with “Miami 2 Ibiza” and “Save The World”. Along with the Mafia headlined Radio One’s Big Weekend as well as Electric Daisy Carnival back in June.

These upcoming two shows will simply become an amendment to the legacy of Swedish House Mafia. With the show at Milton Keynes National Bowl they will be joining the ranks of such musicians as Oasis, Green Day, Metallica, Eminem and Foo Fighters. The list of artists who have played Madison Square Garden reads like a veritable who’s who of music dating from the late sixties to the present day. Considered ‘The World’s Most Famous Arena’, the 130 year old arena has hosted sold out shows by the world’s biggest artists including Lady Gaga, Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Billy Joel, The Rolling Stones, The Who, U2, Jay-Z, Metallica, Beyoncé, Eric Clapton, Bon Jovi, Prince, Taylor Swift, The Killers, Green Day, Britney Spears, Kings of Leon, the Dave Matthews Band and many, many more.
