Smashing Pumpkins singer/guitarist Billy Corgan has announced, via Twitter, the tracklist for the album Oceana. The album will be part of the band’s ongoing 44-song concept album Teargarden by Kaleidyscope. Oceana is set to hit stores in late November.
The group revealed the album for the first time on Thursday night at a private listening party. “I’m really, really proud of the work we’ve done,” tweeted Corgan, “Our hearts are on the line for sure. No cuts. 13 songs it will be.”
In a second post, he said, “[My] impressions from our ‘first listen’ party last night: a unique collection of songs, unlike any prior SP record as a whole.”
Corgan also released, in two separate tweets, Oceana’s tracklist:
Oceana:
1. Quasar
2. Stella P and the People Mover
3. Panopticon
4. The Celestials
5. Violet Rays
6. My Love is Winter
7. One Diamond, One Heart
8. Pinwheels
9. Oceana
10. Pale Horse
11. The Chimera
12. Glissandra
13. Inkless
14. Wildflowers
Corgan describes Oceana as ‘an album within and album.’ Oceana will part of an extended, 44-song effort, Teargarden By Kaleidyscope. The band has already released nine tracks, available online. They’ve also posted a clip for the latest from Teargarden, in addition to another—rather strange—video released in early August.
The group is currently touring, and tickets and and complete tour details are available here.
