Marketa Irglova to Release Solo Debut, Tour This Fall

Czech-raised Marketa Irglova will release her debut solo album, Anar, on October 11 before embarking on a fall tour. The singer-songwriter, who won an Oscar three years ago for the song “Falling Slowly” in Once, makes up half of the group The Swell Season.

Irglova has toured as a vocalist with Iron and Wine, been involved in the production of the Broadway version of Once, and released an album with The Swell Season.

Michelle Rick: I like Pop Rocks, and believe your life is incomplete if you've never seen Forrest Gump. I recently saw the Counting Crows live, for free, and it was not good. I was supposed to interview David Hasselhoff once but he never showed. And I love the band that was once Oasis.
