It’s been three years since Bjork has released a recording, her last being the Wanderlust EP. So although this is a minor setback for eager fans, the new release date is only a month away. Biophilia is set to drop October 10 in Iceland and October 11 in North America.
Bjork recently explained, in depth, the reasoning behind the extended release date for her newest album Biophilia. The artist stated on her website, “I felt the album had different kinda growth potential than the app box and it is important to follow those hunches even though they are slippery and you don’t know sometimes where they are taking you”.
She later explained another reason for the delay when she mentioned, “I played Biophilia for few weeks in Manchester and some of the songs grew while playing them live and i decided to add some of this into the album , I ended up even using a live recording of one of the songs on the album.”
