Kanye West Performs 20 Minute Live Version of “Runaway” at Coke Live Music Festival

Poland’s Coke Live Music Festival received special performance from Kanye West on August 20, performing an extended version of the already extravagant track, “Runaway.” The performance extended the 9 minute album version to 20 minutes in performance that Rolling Stone is calling “over-the-top.”

In a fan-made video from the show, West is seen elevated above the crowd on a white box, where he stood freestyling in front of a backdrop of Gothic angels.

West, who is known for his lengthy and often cryptic videos, took the opportunity to extend the tradition to the stage. He turned his white box into a figurative soap box, expressing some of his deeper frustrations in freestyle form. As angels dance around him, he says, “If you love somebody tonight, hold on to them real tight.”

The full-length “Runaway” video still comes in under time compared to West’s epic stage performance. The full video, available here, is a whopping 35 minutes long. Fans at the Coke Live Music Festival, however, got a taste of West stretching his creative legs—and his time limit—to the maximum.
