Jane’s Addiction has released a video for the track “Irresistible Force,” in preparation for their first album release in eight years. The forthcoming album, The Great Escape Artist, is due out October 4.
The Great Escape Artist will be the group’s first album since Strays, released in 2003. The newest video joins a four minute studio teaser from the recording of “End to the Lies,” which shows the band in action producing the new single.
The video also features the newest member of the group, Dave Sitek on bass. He fills the space left by Duff McKagan, who played for Guns N’ Roses as well as Jane’s Addiction.
The forthcoming album will be produced by Rich Costey, who has worked with the likes of Muse, Cave In, and Franz Ferdinand. Though the two released songs, “End of the Lies,” and “Irresistible Force,” have not been met with glowing reviews, fans are still awaiting the release with anticipation.
The album is now available for pre-order at the band’s official website.
