OK Go Collaborates With Muppets in New Video

OK Go has always been known for pushing the envelope, especially when it comes to their music videos. Their most recent collaboration—with none other than the Muppets—continues their unique growing legacy. “The Muppet Theme Song,” written by Jim Henson and Sam Pottle and used in the US and UK to open and close “The Muppet Show” for five seasons between 1976-1981, was re-recorded and produced by OK Go and mixed by Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, MGMT) for the musical tribute album Muppets: The Green Album.

OK Go Singer Damian Kulash says of the collaboration, “”I’m so excited about working with the Muppets that I can hardly sleep.  Collaborating with your idols is a huge thrill no matter what, but when your idols are fictional characters it seems downright impossible.  The 10-year-old me was pretty good at imagining outrageous futures, but this surpasses even his capacities.”
