Wavves to Release EP Next Month; Full-Length Album By Year’s End

The sounds of laidback rock band Wavves will be coming back for more with the release of the six-song EP Life Sux on September 20, on iTunes and vinyl only. Expect a full-length sophomore album by the end of the year.

Frontman Nathan Williams says, “If you hate yourself and other people, you might like our record.”

The EP will include collaborations with fellow lo-fi surf rockers Best Coast and Fucked Up, which promises to take listeners on a ride from the upbeat opener “Bug” to “Nodding Off,” which features the voice of Bethany Consentino of Best Coast renown.

“In the Sand,” a longtime touring favorite, makes it to record for the first time as it closes out the track listing. It appears on Life Sux as a live recording at Black Iris Music in L.A. with drummer Jacob Cooper.

Michelle Rick: I like Pop Rocks, and believe your life is incomplete if you've never seen Forrest Gump. I recently saw the Counting Crows live, for free, and it was not good. I was supposed to interview David Hasselhoff once but he never showed. And I love the band that was once Oasis.
