OohLaL.A. Festival Will Offer Americans A Look At The Latest in French Music

For three days starting September 29, Los Angeles will host the French music festival OohLaL.A. The lineup will feature bands like Nouvelle Vague, Hugh Coltman, and Chateau Marmont. This is the festival’s third year in Los Angeles.


The event will be hosted in El Rey theater, a 1930s movie house-turned concert venue, and will feature a wide array of the very latest in French music.

Nouvelle Vague will lead out the event with a festival-exclusive musical called Nouvelle Vague Performs Dawn Of Innocence. They will be accompanied by Hugh Coltman of the UK, whose folky/funky blends have become very popular in the Parisian scene. The festival will also feature a night of world music with Tinariwen and Hindi Zahra, and will finish up with night of electro-dance with Birdy Nam Nam, DJ Cam, Feadz, and Chateau Marmont.
