Early last month, Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood, the HotRats, Soap&Skin, Leslie Feist, and others came together for a tribute to The Velvet Underground in Paris, aptly called The Velvet Underground Revisited.
The set, which took place during the Days Off Festival in Paris, was almost entirely based off of The Velvet Underground’s Andy Warhol-produced 1967 debut record with Nico. The eclectic effort featured the talents of Colin Greenwood, Air’s Nicholas Godin, and Philadelphia-based rock group the HotRats—a compilation between Nigel Godrich, Gaz Coombes and Danny Goffey of Supergrass. Leslie Feist performed in a guest-lead appearance on a faithful reproduction of the track “Femme Fatale.”
