American DJ and record producer Lucas MacFadden, better known as Cut Chemist, has announced plans to return to the road this August on the Cut Chemist Presents Tunnel Vision tour. This will be his first headlining tour since his 2006 album, The Audience is Listening.
The tour will cover select West Coast locales, and is already underway, with one remaining show in San Diego on August 20 at the House of Blues San Diego.
Cut Chemist’s ‘Tunnel Vision is a concept audio-visual performance that uses two turntables and two DVD turntables. The tour features new material from Cut Chemist’s forthcoming album, title TBA, set to hit stores next year.
Cut Chemist will be accompanied by Bostonian hip hop artist Mr. Lif, DJ and record producer Edan, and hip hop artist Paten Locke. Edan and Mr. Lif have both been collaborating with Cut Chemist for the past 5 years.
The show also promises special treats for hip hop purists, with the single-turntable, loop pedal, all-vinyl piece “Sounds of the Police” on the set list.
Cut Chemist is coming off of a year-long campaign for The Hard Sell with DJ Shadow, several major European openings including Shakira’s Oral Fixation tour.
