Personal Items Including Lyric Books, Unreleased Tracks Stolen From Amy Winehouse’s Former London Home

English singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse, who passed away late last month, continues to generate headlines, most recently with the news that former acquaintances removed items including copies of unreleased tracks, lyric books and guitars from her London home.

The acquaintances, who have not yet been named, reportedly removed a number of personal items from Winehouse’s home, among which were rough drafts of lyrics for the singer’s third album.  Perhaps the most perturbed by the thefts is Winehouse’s father Mitch, who was said to have been “livid” about them.

A source recently told The Sun that Mr. Winehouse is “willing to give whoever has stolen the items a chance to do the right thing and put them back so it doesn’t have to get messy.”

That same source later added that the theft of lyrics and other personal items is a “sickening shock to the family” and that the family “can’t get their heads around it.”

The cause of Winehouse’s death is currently uncertain and an investigation is ongoing.
