Band of Horses Announces New Tour Dates After Kings of Leon Cancellation

In response to the recently canceled tour with Kings of Leon’s following lead singer Caleb Followhill’s exhaustion-related vocal complaints, Band of Horses has announced a list of last-minute club shows to make up for the cancellations.

In an August 3 Facebook post, the band expressed gratitude for their fans’ continued support and promised to attempt to book shows in some of the areas affected by the cancellations. New tour locations include Fort Lauderdale, Charlotte, Philadelphia, and New York City.

The band has also opened up the setlist to suggestions from concert-goers in each area, and fans are encouraged to visit the band’s Facebook page for details on how to suggest choices for each show.

Band of Horses is encouraging fans to request lesser-known tracks in an attempt to stretch their legs and to personalize the shows. In an August 3 Facebook post for fans attending a Fort Lauderdale show, the band writes, “You’ll help us relearn some songs or at least witness us fail miserably in trying. Either way, we’ll get this thing rolling again and you might hear your favorite song!”

Here are the approaching show dates and locations:

8/5 – Charlotte, NC – The Fillmore

8/9 – Philadelphia, PA – Theater of the Living Arts

8/10 – New York, NY – Hammerstein Ballroom
