Crosses, the long rumored project collaboration with Deftones’ Chino Moreno and Far guitarist Shaun Lopez, is finally here. The plan for the project is to release the 16 tracks in a series of free online downloads, the first of which has just been made available. You can download the EP by entering your e-mail information in the widget included at the end of this article.
According to Moreno, the Crosses project offers a very different type of music than what Deftones fans are used to hearing. In an interview with Noisecreep.com in March, Moreno described the largely electronic-based sound of Crosses: “it’s really minimal and soothing and it’s sort of like the stuff I like listening to when I’m not screaming my head off.” Check back with MXDWN for more information on future releases for the Crosses project.
