My Morning Jacket have contributed to the Muppet’s anticipated comeback on Disney’s The Green Album, a worthy collection of artists covering classic songs from the Jim Henson songbook.

In case you haven’t heard, The Muppets are back, and the Jim Henson Co. has tapped Jason Segel to write the script. Some of us may remember Segel from his roles in Freaks and Geeks and SLC Punk but most people remember Segel from his ‘frontal’ role in Forgetting Sarah Marshall which exemplified his sincere adoration for puppetry. To accompany the film Disney has compiled some very noteworthy artists including My Morning Jacket, Andrew Bird and Alkaline Trio.
