Steve Bernstein’s Millenial Territory Orchestra is set to release their new album, MTO Plays SLY, on September 27. The thirteen-track album pays tribute to the legendary Sly & The Family Stone with re-imagined covers featuring a dynamic list of guest artists, including vocalists Antony Hegarty, Dean Bowman, Martha Wainwright, Sandra St. Victor, and Shilpa Ray, organist Bernie Worrell, guitarist Vernon Reid, and remixer Bill Laswell.
MTO Plays SLY will revisit the classic, timeless hits music of Sly through the lens of MTO’s funky aesthetic.
