Caputo’s usage of the female pronoun when referring to herself on facebook and twitter, plus photographs like the one above led several music news sources to speculate that the singer would soon–or had already–undergone sex change. But in this tweet, Caputo firmly denied any rumors that she might be scheduling a surgery any time soon.
This storm of misinformation and the resulting internet gossip–some of it malicious–prompted Caputo to follow up with this announcement:
