Ireland’s Cork Jazz Festival promises an impressive line-up for this year’s show.
Blur/Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea, and afro beat drummer Tony Allen will all be performing together at the event, along with 25 other artists, under the name An Honest Jon’s Chop Up named after Alban’s music label.
The appearance at the Cork Festival will mark the third time the collective will be performing together.
According to Irish Examiner, Cork will also feature Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Kokanko Sato, Theo Parrish, Shangaan Electro, and possibly Erykah Badu. Confirmed acts for the festival include Kyle Eastwood (the son of Clint), Jean-Luc Ponty, and the Bobby Watson All-Stars.
