Pixies Announce Doolittle World Tour Fall 2011 Leg

Though Doolittle released 22 years two months and about two weeks ago, the world tour in celebration of that album is stretching out healthy through it’s second year.  The Pixies have announced the Fall 2011 leg of the tour.

Two years and counting in this celebration of Doolittle’s 20th anniversary, laughed drummer David Lovering. But people keep asking us to bring ‘Doolittle’ to their city, and we’re really happy to do it.

Kicking off on Oct. 27 in New Jersey at Wellmont Theatre, the band will play at 19 smaller market venues from the North East to the South and Southwest before it’s end at the Civic Auditorium in Santa Cruz.   Throughout the dates the band will play songs from the 1989 album along with B-sides related to it.

Accompanying the Pixies on the tour will be Surfer Blood from Oct. 27 until Nov. 11 with Imaginary Cities finishing off the tour from Memphis on.

Fan pre-order for these tour dates begin this Friday which includes a limited edition T-shirt and associated shipping with public tickets going out a week later on July 15.  Ticket details can be found at the Pixies website.
