Smashing Pumpkins Release Female Pro Wrestling Video for “Owata”

90’s alt-rock darlings Smashing Pumpkins recently premiered a short film for “Owata,” which comes from their upcoming epic project, Teargarden By Kaleidyscope.

This most recent video is another in a long line of highly visual, often weird clips from the group, this time featuring the world of female pro wrestling.  Frontman Billy Corgan, pro wrestling fan, teamed up with video director Robby Starbuck for the effort, even tapping actual pro wrestlers Cheerleader Melissa, Shelly Martinez and Juggalo Championship Wrestling’s Scott “Raven” Levy.

As “Owata” plays in and out, the video features the lady wrestlers training, getting aggressive in the locker room and hanging out at the bar. Oh, and there’s some wicked body slams, if that’s the kind of thing you’re in to.
