GWAR Changes Date of GWAR-B-Q, Announces Lineup, Venue

Scum dogs from outerspace GWAR have rescheduled their upcoming second annual GWAR-B-Q festival to September 17, bit of news they accompanied with the event’s lineup and official venue.

Initially scheduled for August 27—and rescheduled because the organizers “changed our fucking minds, according to a press release—this year’s GWAR-B-Q will be held September 17 at Hadad’s Water Park in Richmond, VA.  That’s right, a water park.

“Anybody familiar with the place already knows it’s the perfect place for a GWAR-B-Q. GWAR fans can get drunk in the hot sun, and then drown in one of the many pools. It’s gonna be the last blow-out of the summer and the biggest GWAR-B-Q yet,” said Dave Brockie of the Slave Pit’s decision to hold the event at Hadad’s.

This year marks a significant milestone in the short history of the annual GWAR-B-Q, as GWAR will actually be playing the event for the first time.  Other artists playing the event include KEPONE, Touch and Go and DBX.

American A-hole – Karaoke contest, hosted by Sleazy P. Martini, and judged by actual celebrities! See drunken idiots compete for valuably worthless prizes!

Spew-O-Lympics/ Bloody T-Shirt Contest – Featuring models from GwarGurlz.com and other chicks with tits. Contestants compete in athletic events while being hosed down by GWAR’s biledrivers and pelted with garbage from a jeering crowd. Fun!

Oderus Kissing Booth – Get savagely violated by your favorite undead bestial overlord, Oderus Urungus, all in the privacy of a baking-hot plywood box-and pay money to do so!

Tickets start at $20 via the band’s site and are $25 at the door.  Deluxe tickets ($30) include entry into all performances and a GWAR-B-Q t-shirt. Premium tickets go for $75 and include passes for all performances, a t-shirt, a DVD, VIP pass and an opportunity to get eaten by the legendary World Maggot.
