Eagles of Death Metal Frontman Jesse Hughes Releases Solo Album

Jesse “The Devil” Hughes takes a step aside from his frontman duties with the Eagles of Death Metal and is set to release an electronically infused album under his new moniker ‘Boots Electric.’

After creating three very danceable garage rock albums, Hollywood’s Jesse Hughes unveils Honkey Kong, on September 20 via Dangerbird Records. Honkey Kong is produced by Tony Hoffer who is best known for his work with Beck, Depeche Mode and Silversun Pickups. The album was also co-written by Beastie Boys‘ long time collaborator Money Mark. The first single “Electric Boots Theme” is available below for free download and features cameo by Brody Dalle of The Distillers.
