Tinariwen will be releasing their newest album, Tassili, on Anti-Records this August 30.
The band recorded Tassili in a protected region of the South-Eastern Algerian desert with only acoustic guitars and un-amplified percussion.

While recording, Tinariwen was joined by Tunde Adebimpe and Kyp Malone of TV On The Radio. Later on, Wilco guitarist Nels and the horns of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band contributed to the powerful new album.
