Musical instrument retailer giant Guitar Center announced today that alternative rock band Jane’s Addiction will be inducted into their historic RockWalk on June 1. The RockWalk honors musicians and bands that have significantly impacted the growth and flourishing of rock, blues, and hip hop music.

The ceremony for their induction is set to kick off at noon with a press conference following the induction.
Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello has been slated to deliver the induction speech which will honor band members Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, and Stephen Perkins by instilling their hand-prints into the concrete of the RockWalk.
Located at Guitar Center’s Hollywood store on Sunset Blvd., the RockWalk mostly features musicians and acts from the respected golden age of recording from the ’50s to the ’80s. However, Jane’s Addiction will heralded as the third inductee-band who’s impact and influence erupted through the rock music scene during the ’90s along with inductees The Black Crowes and The Smashing Pumpkins.
