Peter Doherty Gets Six-Month Sentence

Former Libertines frontman Peter Doherty will serve six months in prison following a guilty plea on a charge of cocaine possession. Doherty was arrested in January after being suspected of supplying drugs to filmmaker Robin Whitehead. Whitehead died at a party in London prior to Doherty’s arrest.

The longest sentence Doherty has ever served prior this this was a 14-week stint. Doherty’s arrest record dates back to 2003.
