Jack White May Be Involved with Kinks’ “Schoolboy in Disgrace” Film Score

As if teaming up with one classic rocker wasn’t enough, Jack White is now in talks to record music for the film version of The Kinks‘ 1975 concept album Schoolboy in Disgrace.

Schoolboy in Disgrace tells the story of a young boy who grows up to become the villain Mr. Flash, who is also featured in The Kinks’ rock opera Preservation: Acts 1 and 2. White would re-record Schoolboy in Disgrace’s music for the film.

Bobcat Goldthwait is also involved with the film, as is Kinks’ frontman Ray Davies as executive producer. We’ll keep you posted.
