Mos Def to Appear on Dexter

Add Mos, formerly known as Mos Def, onto the list of artists-turned-actors. The hip-hop artist has signed on to portray a hardened ex-con on the sixth season of the show Dexter.

Mos’s character will find himself continually surrounded by violence and crime despite finding religion. Though there has yet to be confirmation of how many episodes he will appear in, his character will be featured in a multi-episode arc.

Among Mos’s filmography are parts in House, The Italian Job, Monster’s Ball, and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
