Dispatch Announces First Release Since 2000, Plans for New LP

Following news of an upcoming summer tour, Vermont folk jam outfit Dispatch recently announced that they will drop a new self-titled EP next week—their first release since Who Are We Living For in 2000—and a new full-length in early 2012.

Consisting of six new tracks, the EP will see an online release via iTunes and other similar services on Tuesday, May 17.  The band will have physical copies available for purchase at stops along their upcoming reunion tour.

Featuring the previously released “Melon Bend,” which the band recently debuted on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, the self-titled EP was produced by Peter Katis, who has worked with outfits such as Interpol and The National.

In addition to the upcoming EP, Dispatch also announced that they plan to record and release a full album in early 2012.

The track listing for the EP is as follows:

Melon Bend
Con Man
