Last week an exposé on the Manchester band Elbow about the creation of their latest record, aired on UK’s Channel 4. Entitled, Rocket Science, the making-of documentary encapsulates the story behind the band’s new album, build a rocket boys!

Their fifth studio album in a 20 year career, build a rocket boys!, has continued the Elbow traditional of receiving high praise and acclaim through press reviews of their discography.
With stunningly favorable scores, the album has sparked cause for conversation as the lyrics penned by Guy Garvey touch on more somber topics than in their previous albums. Expressing a reflective and nostalgic journey back to his childhood, Garvey focused the lyrics for Elbow’s latest album around the band’s history and their own coming of age out of their childhood.
Filmed at Blueprint Studios where Elbow recorded the album; the documentary touches lightly on the band’s past while focusing most of the footage on the creation of, build a rocket boys!
