To celebrate Record Store Day this past Sunday, Radiohead released 1,000 copies of 12″ single featuring two unreleased tracks from The King of Limbs recording sessions. Physical copies were snatched up quickly, but the group has now made the two songs available for free download.
The email featuring free downloads of “The Butcher” and “Supercollider” went out to fans yesterday, with the band saying, “This is not part of a new loyalty points scheme, a Radiohead clubcard or even an air miles redeemable reward type thing… It is just a big old-fashioned thank you!”
The group also revealed that some of the labels on the 12″ were put on the wrong way around. The band has made copies of the labels available here for fans to print out and stick on the correct sides of the vinyl.
