My Morning Jacket to Release 12″ for Record Store Day, Re-release Recent LPs

Record Store Day this year finds Kentucky natives My Morning Jacket (ATO Records) looking both forward and backward – the group will release limited edition 12″ of the title track from their new album Circuital and re-release three of its most recent LPs.

Circuital doesn’t hit stores until May 31, but fans can get a sneak peek of the title track come Record Store Day (April 16) – if they live in Kentucky. The one-track 12″ single will be limited to 600 copies and will only be available at Louisville’s Ear X-Tacy and Lexington’s CD Central.

For everyone else looking to get some MMJ in their life on April 16, the group is re-releasing its three most recent albums – 2003’s It Still Moves, 2005’s Z and 2008’s Evil Urges – on 2×12″ picture discs. Each release will be limited to 500 copies, and will be distributed throughout the country.
