Farewell to LCD Soundsystem

An all-inclusive 230-minute set sufficed for the finale of the band that was LCD Soundsystem. The band gave their farewell concert on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden. Check out a video of the performance after the jump.

The set list featured rarities from the band’s catalog, along with a choir, string and horn sections, and some dancing from Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler. The band had previously requested that audience members wear black and white to the show. They also wrote, in a post on their website:

“If it’s a funeral, let’s have the best funeral ever!!!”

Michelle Rick: I like Pop Rocks, and believe your life is incomplete if you've never seen Forrest Gump. I recently saw the Counting Crows live, for free, and it was not good. I was supposed to interview David Hasselhoff once but he never showed. And I love the band that was once Oasis.
