Just like Gayngs the night before, Doomtree triumphed in sheer force of numbers. A hip-hop collective from Minneapolis featuring P.O.S., Sims, Dessa, Lazerbeak and more, this band knows the true meaning of variety and spirit. Beyond the necessary verbal finesse, each member takes turns at center stage, bringing their own unique style and approach to the mix. The crew looks absolutely in effortless cohesion with each other. They take this variety and ego-less approach and also work tremendously hard to bring the crowd’s excitement, and here at The Mohawk, they did just that. By set’s end, the venue is jumping the crowd was in an utter frenzy. This is what hip-hop should be like.
