Officially billed as a “secret guest” the at times nine member strong Gayngs were an excellent addition to the evening. A new supergroup in the making (Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon is one of five singers) the massive group never once sounded sloppy. In fact, in totality it was a stunning blend of pop, indie, jazz and r&b styles. Gayngs are an effortless exercise in musical cohesion.
