Eastern Conference Champions Announce West Coast Tour Dates

Eastern Conference Champions will be releasing Speak-ahh, their first album in four years, on April 26th. A west coast tour, kicking off on April 20th in Santa Barbara, CA, will support the album’s release. Five SXSW performances will precede the tour.

Founding member Joshua Ostrander said, about the new album’s sound:

“After we recorded Ameritown with Owen Morris, we had a hell of a time pulling off some of the songs live, it just got away from us in the studio. Since we began recording on our own, we always go into recording a song with a ‘are we gonna be able to pull this off live’ mentality. We never put two guitars down when one will do the job. We prefer the bones of it to an orchestra. We love the rawness.”

Eastern Conference Champions was chosen from more than 400 bands competing to contribute a sound to the third Twilight film, Eclipse. “A Million Miles An Hour” went on to gain them international exposure and positive reviews.

Michelle Rick: I like Pop Rocks, and believe your life is incomplete if you've never seen Forrest Gump. I recently saw the Counting Crows live, for free, and it was not good. I was supposed to interview David Hasselhoff once but he never showed. And I love the band that was once Oasis.
