SXSW.com just announced that Duran Duran have been added to this year’s official showcase lineup. Duran Duran will headline Time Out’s showcase at Stubb’s on Wednesday night March 16th. Additionally, the band will also be a featured interview at the Austin Convention Center on Thursday March 17th. For those keeping score, the band is also slated to play on the final night of this year’s Coachella Festival, Sunday April 17th.
This announcement comes hot on the heels of other high profile SXSW announcements this week, including an official show by Queens of the Stone at La Zona Rosa, soon-to-be-announced-yet-confirmed show by The Strokes and an unofficial show by Atlas Sound at Under the Radar Magazine’s two-day day party.
