Of all his well-known efforts and successes in the rock and roll world, here’s one unlike any other: Kurt Cobain tried taking his musical talents to one of Nickelodeon’s favorite bizarrely humorous animated shows of the 90s, Ren & Stimpy. The new fun fact comes from an actor who did a voice-over for the show. Hear all about it after the jump.According to Billy West, the famous voice of Stimpy, a crazy cat and half of the even crazier duo, Cobain once came to Spümcø, Ren & Stimpy’s animation company, with hopes of getting his song on the show.
Via his podcast Nerdist, West recollects the memory of Cobain walking into Spümcø.
“One day, this scraggly kid came in and said he wanted to write a song for Ren & Stimpy,”

So far there’s been no documents of the songs or music Cobain offered the animation company. But sadly, Spümcø wasn’t feeling it, and the alleged young Cobain got turned down.
