Sister Crayon, hailing from Sacramento, California, will release their full-length debut Bellow on February 22nd. The band evolved from a single vocalist and guitar to the four-piece band it is today.

The forthcoming album draws inspiration largely from writer Fernando Pessoa’s curiosity about death, homosexuality, longing, and despair, which also set the tone for the album’s sound. Bellow combines rich analog textures with a rhythmic prowess for a melancholic experience. It seeks to trace Sister Crayon’s evolution from solo beginnings to a dynamic full band construction.

“Anti Psalm” is an ode to religious antics, while “(In) Reverse” showcases the band’s electronic leanings and complex vocal layers.
