Wanda Jackson Announces Tour Dates

In support of her upcoming album, The Party Ain’t Over, Wanda Jackson, the “First Lady of Rockabilly,” will play two special New York City and Los Angeles shows around the time of its release on January 25th.

The Third Man House Band, featuring Jack White on guitar, will accompany Wanda on these shows. White also produced her album. Tickets are now available on Ticketmaster.

She’s credited with being the first woman to record a rock and roll song thanks to 1958’s “Let’s Have a Party.” The Party Ain’t Over’s 11 tracks are a retro modern collection of music that showcases Wanda’s talent. A full tour announcement will follow in 2011.

Tour Dates:
1/21/11 – Brooklyn, NY – Music Hall of Williamsburg
1/23/11 – Los Angeles, CA – The El Ray Theatre

Michelle Rick: I like Pop Rocks, and believe your life is incomplete if you've never seen Forrest Gump. I recently saw the Counting Crows live, for free, and it was not good. I was supposed to interview David Hasselhoff once but he never showed. And I love the band that was once Oasis.
