Glasvegas Unveil New Drummer

After the departure of former drummer Caroline McKay, Glasvegas have recruited Jonna Löfgren.  More after the jump.

Frontman James Allan has said that McKay left due to the demanding success of the group.  He said “Doing a demo, getting gigs, doing a demo, doing another demo then a record in New York, then it’s playing at Wembley with U2, Glastonbury … she never asked for any of that.”  He went on, “Everybody’s cool with each other. Caroline could have stayed and taken the money, but she left.”

Allan then went on to talk about how guitarist Rab Allan asked for a female replacement from Sweden.  Two days later, the Swedish arm of their label, Colombia, sent one along.
