Jamie Smith, the beatmaker for new wave pop group The xx, is releasing remix of Gil Scott-Heron comeback LP I’m New Here, which was released earlier this year. The remixed version, We’re New Here, will be released Feb. 22 on XL/Young Turks Records. Watch a video for Smith’s remixed version of “New York Is Killing Me.”
The album will be released digitally and on CD and vinyl, as well as in a box set that will include the album on pink vinyl, an instrumental version of the album on green vinyl, CDs of both the album and instrumental album, and 2 limited edition photographic prints.
