The self-proclaimed aging alternative icon Henry Rollins will be hosting one-off KCRW-sponsored spoken word/DJ event called “Rare Cuts and Conversations” early in December at Los Angeles, CA’s Echoplex.
Rollins announced via a recent press release that, in addition to telling stories, he plans to play records that are “too rare” to play on his KRCW show on Saturday evenings from 6-8:00 pm PST:
“I will play stuff that I am unable to on my regular show, due to the rare nature of the material. I have been planning the set for weeks and am so excited to be able to get some truly unique tracks to your ears,” said Rollins. “Basically, the Echoplex will be my living room, you are the guests and I am playing some of my coolest cuts from decades of gathering, complete with the story around the track and its acquisition.”
It will all go down Thursday, December 9 at 8:00 pm at the Echoplex in Los Angeles, CA. Tickets will go on sale November 17 at 10:00 AM.
