New Release from The Octopus Project

The Octopus Project has released their latest audio-experiment, Hexadecagon. After co-headlining a North American tour with STRFKR, the band will stop in Mexico city before wrapping up their tour with two shows in their native Texas. Hexadecagon is now available on CD, a vinyl 2xLP, and digital formats through Peek-A-Boo Records.

The vinyl is a gatefold double LP spanning three sides, the fourth of which contains several tracks unique to this format. The vinyl also includes a DIY Zoetrope insert that doubles as a stop-motion animated sequence when placed on top of the record. Each song will have its own zoetrope animation.

The band stopped by Asheville, North Carolina for Moogfest last weekend, where they came across pop-synth phenomenon Devo and got to perform with them onstage.

Michelle Rick: I like Pop Rocks, and believe your life is incomplete if you've never seen Forrest Gump. I recently saw the Counting Crows live, for free, and it was not good. I was supposed to interview David Hasselhoff once but he never showed. And I love the band that was once Oasis.
