British electronic hip hop duo Massive Attack are getting tired of the same old album-tour cycle. That is why they are planning to follow up on their 2010 full length Heligoland with the four song Atlas Air EP, due out Nov. 22. The duo also has plans to release multiple EPs in 2011.
Massive Attack’s Robert Del Naja told Spinner
We got quite a bit of EPs out next year. We’re tired of the cycle of album, tour. It’s more fun putting things out randomly, sort of spontaneously. We’ve done it quite traditionally this year, so maybe next year, a bit unorthodox.
This is exciting news for fans who waited seven years between 2003’s 100th Window and this year’s Heligoland.
Massive Attack is now on tour in North America.
