The soothing, psychedelic Philadelphia-born sounds of The Asteroid #4 will be making their not third, not fourth, but sixth debut, with the album Hail To The Clear Figurines, predicting an early February 2011 release. A new MP3 from the band and their tour dates also available after the jump.
Here is just a sneak preview of what you should expect to hear next February; the last track of the album, entitled “Ignition Slated For Eight”.
Hail To The Clearing Figurines is yet another milestone for The Asteroid #4, marking their sixth full-length album. And the band is still going strong. Despite the occasional change up of band members, leaving us just a few originals, the band has never reported the consideration of calling it quits, lucky for us, bringing forth the cosmic concoction of psyche beats we know and love.
And onto tour the go. Short but sweet, they’ll be leaving their legend in ten lucky cities. The tour kicks off on the 27th, and they will be accompanied by some funky Australian flare–psychedelic rock band The Lovetones.
